After a devastating collision with a vehicle, this majestic Golden Eagle was rushed into  care for a ccomplete evaluation. The veterinary staff at Avian and Exotic Clinic of Monterey performed X-rays, which fortunately ruled out any fractures, while detailed blood work showed signs of internal trauma that required around the clock care. As a federally protected species, the recovery of this eagle was not just a rescue mission, it is a critical effort to preserve our local ecosystem.
